Sure, it’s a Thursday night. When did that ever stop you before?

Let’s recap:

1. Saturday night was a GREAT success at Church. Executive Order played their first live show to an adoring throng and we followed up with a powerful set. Had a blast sharing the stage with Musaic (NYC) and Chelsea Automatic (Chicago) as well.

2. We weren’t sure until about 6pm on Saturday if we were even going to play the show. Andy was up all night Friday with a 102 fever and pretty much strapped to the couch with shivers and popsicles.

3. Once Andy emerged from his cocoon, the idea was if he couldn’t sing, we’d just play instrumental or throw in some group vocals, call up some guest vocalists, and just wing it. But by some Winter Miracle, Andy’s pea-sized throat hole opened up and did a decent enough job for the night.

We’re playing our last show of 2009 this Saturday night at the Middle East Upstairs.  It’s a fantastic lineup of local and not-so-local bands at our favorite Boston-area venue.  Take a break from holiday cocktail parties and ABC Family feature presentations of watered-down wintry tales to stimulate your brain and soul with new, progressive, hard-hitting, weird, and inspiring music.  And I hear Cure for Static does a mean Silent Night.

We’re playing tonight at Hennessy’s on Union St. in Boston, right next to Ye Olde Union Oyster House. Go have some dinner at the oldest restaurant in the country and then come on over to Hennessy’s. We play upstairs at 9pm.

Got a set that mixes both of our releases plus a couple new songs that people keep asking “When are you going to record that?!”
